According to Webster dictionary Gratitude is defined by: the quality of being thankful; readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.
I was hesitant to pick gratitude as the theme this month. In the Yoga and Wellness Industry the word gratitude is heavily used and in my opinion, over used. When a word is used too much or inappropriately it starts to lack meaning and impact.
Take a moment to re-read the definition of gratitude. It is a readiness to show appreciation for and to return kindness.
When you tell someone you are grateful, are you ready to return kindness? Are you ready to show appreciation? What action comes with your gratitude?
A few reflections:
There are physical, mental, emotional and social
benefits to a daily gratitude practice.
I have a lot to be thankful and grateful for.
But I don't spend enough time creating action with my gratitude.
I noticed a shift in my behavior and in those close
to me when I created action around my gratitude
We all can use more acts of kindness.
I am allowed to be grateful for even things even silly or small. My gratitude lends me the ability to share these things with others.
My goal is to continue a regular and daily gratitude practice. Join me by downloading your free guide here.
Thank you for being curious.
